How do you go back a couple days on your pc to get rid of everything?

If you've just got a virus, just use some kind of anti-virus software to get detect it and get rid of it. System Restore will get rid of everything on your computer.

This puzzles me, my system restore never removes any exe files.

if system restore didn't remove files it wouldn't fix problems. For instance, say you have a trojan or some virus. If system restore didn't wipe it from your computer, then what use would system restore have? Occasionally I have used it to save my computer due to the failings of Norton.

Yeah i'd do a restore. IF it'd let me do a checkpoint that wasnt from today.

Yea, you can usually do it from any point of time. But, what I'd is restore it back to when it was fine and get anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-adware programs on the comp. to protect it from another virus plus it protects from Trojan Horses (which are a major pain)!!

System restoring does not remove files from your computer.
Tell that to me 1 year ago when I bought 4 gigs worth of memory sticks when I was gonna system resotre my PC.(it does delete, well for me anyway)

 No it doesn't.

It removes registry entries, but the files remain on the computer.

It does.
