so i was at a wedding for the last five hours.....and they blast this abrasive techno music with way too much treble at like 500 decibels

they did the same shit at school dances too, its so fucking loud and i cant take it

yet people whine like crazy (or would whine, im more into experimental now) when i play metal at moderate-high volume, and usually much more refined symphonic metal that doesn't overdo the abrasive aspects of the treble

IT

DOESNT

MAKE

ANY

FUCKING

SENSEEEEEEEEEEEE

it's incomparable.

i mean the entire instrumentation is different for both genres.

no im saying that this stuff is much more abrasive to the ears, since it hits the really high aspects of the treble with too many artificial low quality sounds while the stuff i would put on was mostly the 'medium' area, not so much treble and was certainly not painful at the volume id put it at

it's not the volume.

a lot of the melodies are intrinsically easier to follow, not to mention the beat itself. that makes it accessible.

that being said, i have more respect for symphonic metal than i do techno.

well its not just that, there are a lot of low quality treble-intense artificial sounds that really hurt my ears since i dont have high tolerance for 'harsh-ness'

i like 'electronica' a lot but not pop techno

Don't you hate living that way? Just put up with other people's shit. You've never actually had the ability to empathize, really? Like get into people's heads and extract at least something positive/human about their behaviors.taste?
no ive been putting up with their shit way too much

If you can't deal with people's music/joy then how can you deal with like, bigger things?

because at least my ears arent blasted out by harsh low quality shit at high volumes
