I mean it's above average and can handle gaming.
If you want a customized laptop that you don't have to build yourself, Dell's your best bet. People are usually wary about their customer service, but honestly, it's pretty fucking good now. A few months ago, I overwrote Windows with a faulty version of Linux and didn't have my CDs - they sent me the CDs, free of charge, in about a day. They then followed that up with e-mailing me and asking if I needed any help or if there were any difficulties, etc. It was impressive. tigerdirect has a lot of offers, but for every gaming computer you look at on there, you're going to probably want dual processing power and, at the very least, a gig of RAM. After that, go to CNET and read the reviews from other saps that've already bought the product that interests you.

go to best buy and ask one of the nerd workers
Worst. Advice. Ever.
BestBuy fucking sucks.
DO NOT get an Acer or a Dell. Those are the two worst brands on the market right now.
I just conducted a half a year laptop search, so if you sent me the names of some stores you shop in, I'd be glad to help you out.
(points appreciated )
GO ON OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
