it keeps making a clicking noise. It's a desk lamp. Any way to stop the clicking. It's annoying! Thanks!

Could it be a florescent light? if so it sounds like the starter or ballast and can be fixed if it's worth fixing that is. I would just live with it until it finally craps out if it were me because it more than likely isn't worth repairing.

If the tube is going then it wont be the starter, Could be a faulting ballast but that would more likely buzz loudly than click. I would say if its a normal light bulb that the pins on the lamp arnt making proper conection with the light fitting and it is arcing

replace the bulb - maybe get it checked as it could shock u. if its clicking tis possible the little wire in the top that spans accross these two other little wires like this --> l-l is broken.

It's a sign that Jebus is reaching out to you!!!

That's the spring-like wire (filament) inside the bulb expanding and contracting. It's probably ready to blow out, so change the bulb. If it's too bright, you might be using a bulb that's too hot for the lamp.
