So i got this USB Mouse thing for christmas, which records the amount of words i type each day and also moves when i type, faster i type faster he pedals thing..

but like.. for it to work on my computer which is Vista i had to turn off the User Account Control, and like i was just wondering is this  a safe thing to do cos like it makes stuff safer by alerting you when a program wants to load or something....

should i just put user account control back on and use it with my XP lappy instead? =[

It is fine to turn user account control off, as long as you are not worried about children/little bro/etc messing up your computer by trying to delete the registry lol, but in most cases, it is pretty useless and only restricts things that could damage your computer, such as installing programs, modifying system files/running admin tools etc.
It is a handy thing to have but at the same time its rather obtrusive, and if I was you I would just turn it off and use your mouse, and if you get sick of getting warned about how insecure your computer is, you can turn off the anoying popups here. It also gives you a few other options about it too.

I turn UAC off right when I install Vista.

Its fine. Just be careful what you install.

My dad got that. It works on vista. =/

i know? but in instructions and i tried it with the user control thing on it didn't work, and in instructions says you have to turn it off for it to work =[ probably because it like records words or something or w.e

UAC only protects from programs that want to install/uninstall things. I have UAC off and it's fine as long as you have decent antivirus.
