Could someone get me on the right track to creating a program on the TI-82 that would solve an equation such as 2x-5=11 for x. that would be much apreciated. anyway possible.

hm, i was looking for exactly the same thing. i can do it all in my head, and i havent used my calculator in a while. trust me, you probably dont need the application to do that. i did it few times on ti 83+ and since then i never got it again. i will tell you if i do get it, cause i dont think you need a program at all.

one of my friends knows someone who programmed it to prompt u for both equations and then givve the answers for x and y.

i know that some are easy, but i want one for harder equations, maybe simotanious equations? i know how to do them but honestly, i'm trying to impress my teacher. i've written simple programs for certain mathematic functions, but i feel like he might like a more complex one.
