The Tundra has about 100HP more then the F-150, and yet, its payload AND max towing are over 1,000lbs LESS than the F-150 with its smaller engine. Also, I've never heard of F-150s having such fucked up problems as warped tail gates, cab/bed rubbing, etc.
I love how you change the subject of the topic. Why even bring up the f-150? This topic is about a tundra. It seems like you just want to start a fucking pissing match. And about the payload, ford claims 200 pounds more for the reg. cab long bed, but the toyota is rated 2100 pounds more when comparing the extended cab models. And the engine really doesnt have THAT much to do with towning and has very little to do with the payload. And just for a comparison, the toyota 5.7 makes 381hp and 401ft/lbs of torque. The ford 5.4 makes 300/365. The toyota makes more hp and torque per liter. Now to the transmission. The ford has as shitty 4 speed, while the toyota has a double overdrive 6 speed. Not to mention the tundra has better brakes, and a stronger rear end (you have learned that a rear end is not the bed by now, right?). Oh and despite the toyota making 81 more horsepower, it has the same fuel mileage rating. |

Another point is how week those trucks are in build quality, I can't imagine those speeds and that power are helping its life. Finally the F-150 has some competition. That said, I'll still take the Raptor. Its a performance truck that has a fuckin purpose.
I'm sure they really aren't that weak... I'd rather have this than the Raptor. Off-roading isn't that great... |

...I posted it here because it was interesting and I figured they'd be interested.
I'm definitely interested. So, what about the Ford Lightning? I guess it's too slow to be included in the list? 'Twould strike me as a somewhat decent competitor. But I'm really amazed to see it beat the Ram SRT-10. Yay Toyota. It's a good day to be a Camry driver :-p. |
