Gotta hand it to GM for their designs.

The H / C / W body are some of the safest FWD cars out there.

Here is a guy who nailed a pole head on doing maybe 60..

Firstly I've driven many, many, many GM sedans. Impalas from 2006 and 2001 (my aunt has four of them), even a 1998 Oldsmobile 88. Not to mention I've got "friends" whom drive these and other cars. So from mild driving experience, stories from friends, and observation of what cars I see most on the side of the road.. I can conclude from these factors, Tempos are above average when it comes to winter driving. They have incredible ground clearance. Impalas, don't. Its almost impossible to find one without an mashed up, unaligned bumper from being in the ditch. Yet the number of Escorts, Tempos, and Topaz' in Alaska is not only large, but growing. In the past month I know of three Tempos resurrected from the junk yard and back on the road.

This topic is begging for an extremely biased-yet-factual response from meh. Ready?

Too bad they can't turn and they suck ass in the snow. Safe? Maybe, but no where near as safe as the FWD cars Ford is offering these days. Not as fun, practical, fuel efficient, modern, technologically advanced, or as good in rough weather either.

Then we are all surprised that Ford is in a substantial financial situation and GM, isn't.

Have you driven any of these cars in the snow?

If you haven't, I suggest you back down.... and if you have.. it was some base model impala without t/c

FTF Posted at 9:50 pm on Dec. 15, 2008
That statement shows your ignorance to this whole situation.
