From what I've gathered there's some way for it to direct people from the domain name I bought to the one where it's hosted... I just have no idea how to do that, what it's called etc...

I'm not sure what type of bandwith google offers, but 110MB is 30GB downloads per month. Also support for numerous scripting languages such as php etc, mysql databases, python if you're that way inclined, etc. I would (and do) recommend them to everybody.
