I'm not psychiatrist but I have had social anxiety disorder and it does sound like you've got it. I'd say yes, see a doctor.

It's hard for me to even get a job cause I don't know how to talk to people! If I feel like people are watching me I freeze up and don't know what to do! I don't know how to act around people and I'm always scared I might mess up and people will laugh! I want help too but I don't have the money to, if you have the money then I would get some help.

One important aspect of Social Anxiety Disorder is that it's severe enough that you even consider/do skip social activities simply out of fear of embarrassing yourself or having to interact with others. You could just be shy or have certain social phobias (maybe based on previous experiences or just specific things you're scared could happen in social environments).

We has similar problems. I used to think I had Social Anxiety Disorder as well. But, here's what you need to know, Social Anxiety Disorder is not just being shy, it's having serious diagnosable anxiety issues. Be careful before going to a doctor, some of the drugs that you might be put on are unpleasant. I'd rather by my shy self then some zombie on Zoloft.
Social anxiety can be somewhat mild, it's a problem if it affects your quality of life and is a concern to you, which I think is what he's trying to say. |

Sounds like it could be social anxiety/social phobia. If it is bothersome towards you, and affects your life in a negative way, definitely go. You can get some anti anxiety meds and feel much better. Good luck.
