Don't do anything irrational. Physical violence, as-well-as verbal confrontation, often times just makes the situation worse. If it is a spontaneous problem, one that you can't sit out and think about it, then try taking a series of deep breaths. Close your eyes, and count to ten. Maybe ball your hands into a fist and squeeze as hard as you can. Just get the blood moving, and it'll wear down quick.

If it is a prolonged problem, then you could try thinking about it in a new way, step outside of yourself, but don't think too long, that can be unhealthy. If you have calmed down, but feel that you're getting angry again by the situation, then you have thought too long. This is when you find someone, maybe a free guardian or other family member, and just talk to them, pleasant conversation. If the family is the problem, maybe listen to music, pleasant music preferably, or read a book. Maybe you could go for a walk down the road/in the woods or meet up with a couple of friends. A very good way to take out frustrations is to find a sport you like. Maybe football... doesn't mean it has to be organized, just find someone willing to throw the ball around. The same is true for writing poetry or stories, or whatever else you're into. =)

I hope this helped. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. =)
