i am already pretty stressed out right now.
so my mom is yelling at me, she wants me to get a recomendation letter to turn in with my application for a carreer tech school, to improve my chances of getting in and it just stresses me out. i already turned in  my app and she just keeps going on about how it was messy and im not going to get in.

i just want to scream at her and do a lot of crying

is the letter all that important to turn in?

Think about it..she's probably just worried because she just wants the best for you. Hey, she may even just be as worried as you are because she's afraid that you won't get into the school, and the part about wanting the best for you ties right into this. So instead of just talking about it, she yells at you because she's wants to make sure that you get in and go on to be successful or something along those lines. I'm not saying that it's right for her to yell at you but I'm also not saying that she's wrong if this is the case.

AND yes, any recommendation letter is very great. It can help you even if you're application isn't too good. It gives people a sense of who you are, what you're good at, how you act, if you're an achiever or not, if you're motivated, or if you just try your best but if you think you have a great application and you just don't want to turn one in just because then it's your own choice.

Also I want to tell you that there is no need for crying really, you should just take your mother's input besides the fact about her saying that you just won't get it, in consideration. Once again, she just may be stressed about you not getting in and she worried because she just wants you to be very successful in and throughout life. Good luck and I hope you get in.

maybe a good cry would help.

I don't think it's terribly important.  But if you can get a good recommendation, it would definitely help.

Stop procrastinating =P

Yes. They can make or break an application.
