He's anti-marriage equality, thinks there is no legitimate separation of church and state beyond vague endorsements, and wants to restrict immigration even further. Ron Paul is still a conservative. Lifting taxes may be temporarily beneficial, but he's yet to show any class awareness or antagonism towards the corporate class beyond subsidies. Oh yeah. Libertarianism has been subverted by non-socialists to mean only opposition to the state, not all forms of authority. Continue on.

Pinochet is the right idea?

He's anti-marriage equality
Unless I am misunderstanding what you mean by "anti-marriage equality," that is incorrect. Ron Paul supports the proper solution to the marriage debate. Please try to understand a politician's views before commenting upon them.

Of all the points you could have brought up, yours is "Ron Paul doesn't want our troops to go to Japan to fight Japanese organized crime"? Seriously? As for my opinions of RP, I'd agree that he goes too far with his small-government, isolationist policies, but I also think that people tend lose sight of the fact that Americans elect Presidents, not Absolute Monarchs, when criticizing him. yes

That pic and its message made me laugh.

I don't know if being too wacko is a bad thing... you could just ask Ed Gein.
But yes, I think while Ron Paul's ideals are in the right place, in execution this country would go down faster than mushroomsatsujin's sister after a beer. He defines the term 'de-regulation' in every aspect of government. Some of which I agree with, most of which I do not. He is also part of the boat that thinks that somehow, charity will solve all of the poor's problems, because charity today is already doing so well a job (/sarcasm).
Also, have any of you read the 'Ron Paul Political Report', the self-published paper by Ron Paul? Some VERY wacky shit in there. That's what really turned me off about him... that, and most of his supporters are internet nerds that repeatedly yell WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM?!?! whenever you disagree with one of their/Ron Paul's stances.
