But, to keep the point, take it that Russian bombings wouldn't have changed anything, because that is not what I'm aiming at. My question is: would the bombings be more or less justified, especially these days? I guess that they would be seen as an act of genocide, or something similar, because it was Russians who did them (from a western point of view, obviously). What do you think?

JohnTheNormalOne Posted at 3:41 pm on Jan. 3, 2009 This could also apply to recent Israeli air strikes, as I implied in one of my recent topics... tkster Posted at 9:46 am on Jan. 3, 2009 Honestly I dislike World War II because I do not think that either side was right.  I can't stand the Nazis and their fascism, but then I don't think the allies were morally superior either.  The justification was that it put an end to World War II, but even if the Japanese were our enemy at the time, I don't see a massive slaughter of people ever necessary. If this is not the answer you're looking for, my apologies.  However, the Japanese are human like Americans and I am at least thankful that we work together now.  Whatever was going on between people in World War II, let's hope that doesn't happen again. tk All 3 previous replies displayed.
