has been like doing some work-experience in an all girls muslim school. Here are some rules:

No men allowed on the grounds.
No skin (apart from face & hands) to be shown.
No clapping.
No singing.
No pictures (unless eyes are covered).

I was SO shocked when she told me.

clapping is annoying, but i'd feel weird about the no singing bit

Oh no, they don't want their girls to be complete whores...

So clapping and singing makes you a whore now?

That sounds ridiculous.

But I read about these safety restrictions in normal schools in the UK, apparently you can't open a window more than 15cm in case someone falls out of it. And sports have to canceled if the grass is damp.

not saying that your wrong but this is how i interpret that

the window thing i've never heard so i think its a bit full of rubbish

and the grass, its england, things never just get damp lol sports get called off if it rains heavily but thats only to save the quality of the grass

and hey if you don't like the faith don't be a Muslim i guess

Apparently you also weren't aloud to run in the playground you had to walk. I read it in the Guardian but it sounds a bit exaggerated.

Extreme cases, that's why they make the media. So then they can be mocked, and reverted.

That is the faith of Islam.

Hardly. A minority of Muslims believe in these things but these choices aren't exactly the fundamentals.
