Its proof enough that the South is comprised primarily of racists based on the fact that they voted Democrat (as opposed to Lincoln's party, the Republicans) until the Civil Rights act swept the nation. Then because the Democrats supported ending segregation, guess what happened?

The red South was born.

I don't understand how they can sidestep allegations of racism. After all, we're still talking about Obama's birth certificate and country of birth.

I am pretty sure this is an unsupported, prejudiced, stereotypical post. I know people from Texas and kentucky that are anything but racist, and still vote conservatively. Republican =/= Racist. It is rather funny that more liberals are trying to play the race card than anything.
This is pretty much the same response every Southerner and/or Republican gives when confronted about the facts stated in the OP.

Look at a map. Wyoming is not a Southern state.

Oh please explain then, why did the South switch from D to R during the Civil Rights and destruction of segregation? Coincidence?

Bull shit.

Facts tend to be born out by evidence.

You have stated your opinion.

We are awaiting the evidence.  For example when the Democrat organization the KKK was actively suppressing the Republican vote that is not reflected in your statements.  Also most of the people who were in power even in the 60's who opposed the civil rights movement are now dead.  You are literally blaming people for what you imagine the sins of their ancestors to be.
