| Funny, because during this recession I got offered multiple jobs without even applying, I got many raises, and have a better salary (and position) than before the recession. Definitely helps to have good connections and not have to help on luck of the draw. |

It's EBT, not food stamps you idiot. And you can't sell them anymore. At least, it would be some what difficult sense It's a card, and if you were caught shit would get real, real fast.
If you were caught doing what? What I get on my EBT every month is just over a week's worth of food to use over a month. Sometimes I send someone on an errand to buy something with my EBT card and as long as they have my PIN they're sold the item, even though I'm not present. And to answer the original question but only using the United States as an example, people on welfare at least in this state of New Mexico manage do have nice things because they're probably also working a home-based job, not reporting it, and collect their welfare check. Extra jobs because the welfare doesn't really pay a reasonable amount to live on, and for tax purposes. No one can tell me here in the U.S. what I can or cannot use welfare money or social security money for once it's deposited in my account. That being said, a lot of us do spend it on guns, drugs, and liquor (the luxuries), and use a day job for paying for day-to-day living. |

] note: we are talking about australian welfare and not america cause everyone's broke in america, no matter what
This is an incorrect statement. In America, we're all on our cell phones, expensive laptops with high speed Internet, watching HD TV, eating at nice restaurants and drinking semi-expensive alcohol, and going, "omg we're so broke." Ridiculous. People just "feel" stressed about the economy, even though life, at least for most people I know, is very well. And people just seem to complain about small, mundane and irrelavent things. I don't know a single person who's actually been hit THAT hard by the current economy. We had to cut back on coffee, ooooh so terrible
its killing me. i went from taking in about 2400-3200.00/month to 0.00-300 a month. and i rarely see 300.00 . theres no work here. i even applied at mcdonalds... |

| Even if we're all broke, you should thank America, you wouldn't be on this here today if it wasn't for us. |

| Luckily in the U.S. people on Welfare are being required to take drug tests. Funny that this came about after the U.S. started making companies drug test their employees. Working people couldn't do drugs, but lazy welfare could. |

so you make $0 a year. what your dad makes is irrelevant, you are broke, broker then the people on welfare. i don't know where you're getting that crazy incorrect foreign exchange rate, not even close. not to mention 99.9 percent of the time our dollar is higher then yours.
I know that your dollar is worth more, it's why the value of what we get went down instead of up... and I got it from http://www.xe.com/ucc/ . Your a fuckin ass, hope you know that. |
