I cannot speak for any other moderators involved, but for my part I want to apologize for my role in bringing not only offensive images to LiveWire, but for the chaos that was caused as result of those images being posted. I admit that it was a puerile way of going about making my point, inconsistent not only with standard moderating procedures but with good form in general. For those who had a positive opinion of me that was negatively impacted by this ordeal, I truly regret that any respect was lost and only ask for the opportunity to rejuvenate that positive opinion over time.
More importantly, if this has negatively impacted anyone's opinion with the moderating team as a whole, I would hope that you could separate the unapproved actions of a few rabble-rousing moderators from the team as a whole and the system in general. Some of you who were appalled with the behavior of the moderators taking part should know that you have counterparts on the moderating team who were just as appalled, if not moreso for knowing how deviant the behavior was.
If anyone is still confused about the policy, the revised rules regarding nudity on LiveWire may be found in this topic.
Again, my genuine hope now is that the site may return to a normal, smooth state of operation and its members to a typical interaction with the moderating team (be that positive or negative).

You've seriously damaged something that the other 30 of us have worked tirelessly for years to build up. I know that I haven't been trying my damnedest for nearly three years to put the trust, respect and decency into moderating just for my efforts to be mindlessly tossed aside in a few hours. It wasn't a good idea to start exploiting the lack of a better acceptable use policy by the moderators which then was caught on by everyone else, but I do have to chuckle at those that are outraged by it. There is no such thing as a perfect forum, and it's debacles like these that will only make LiveWire a better place.
Oh, and by the way, my mom has a tattoo of a naked fairy riding a dolphin on her wrist. I guess we should set up a mobile perimeter around her, in case a minor walks by while she's wearing a t-shirt, huh?
