Are buy/sell/trade topics allowed here?

If not, there should be a buy sell trade forum.

Soliciting isn't allowed on here. It's in the Terms of Use;

...(f) use LiveWire Peer Support Network to post advertising, promotional or solicitation material.

Personal information sharing would be an issue.

Right.

You're not allowed to so much as set up an IM chat through topics on here.  There was a bit of a fuss last Christmas when prominent members used LiveWire groups to set up a Facebook group where information sharing was going to occur.  It would not work.  Your proposal, OP, is simply impossible under LiveWire's current system.

I concur, they should definitely have a forum for that.

I don't think they are.  I think it falls under "advertisement" but I'm not sure.
