Because I've seen books on "How to Speak Irish" but all the Irish people I've ever known just have a really strong accent. So I'm not sure....

Maybe your travel agent could know something about moving over. Like when you go to book your flights, ask about visa's. Your parents could know something also. Try this also; Click! I really don't know how much help it would be for you. 2) The main language is English. Very few people would speak Irish now. So, I doubt there would be communication difficulties for you. Its mostly over in the West of Ireland that would still use Irish. In the Gealtacht areas. If you have any other questions, I can try my best to help answer them for you.
