So, I've wanted to play guitar for awhile, and I'm thinking about  trying to pick it up this summer.

I want a cheap (but reasonably good guitar) and good self teaching guides. Any help?

Question: Hey, I have a question: How bad are the guitars that you can get at like Target for $99...The reason I ask is that they come with instructional stuff as well...Like this one for example: http://www.target.com/Acoustic-Guitar-for-Dummies-Package/dp/B000FPPZLE/sr=1-2/qid= 1217004196/ref=sr_1_2/602-6277043-6643822?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aacoustic guitar&page=1, or, this one: http://www.target.com/Natural-Acoustic-Package-SD3000PAK-NA/ dp/B000BUDR68/sr=1-1/qid=1217004196/ref=sr_1_1/602-6277043- 6643822?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aacoustic guitar&page=1

martin, taylor and takamine are all fairly solid brands. your best bet is to swing by a music store, play on a few guitars, and see which one best suits you.

guitar is awesome and anyone who disagrees doesn't know what they're talking about

It may be hard, but I've wanted to play since like 7th grade...And I'm going into 12th.

Also, I've got resources to help me. A friend and my youth pastor. It also probably helps that I used to play flute and bassoon.
