With a passion. :(

I'm totally into acting and all that jazz but for some reason I just hate monologues! I don't have stage fright or anything it's just.. I need someone to use as a platform on stage from which I can make myself stand out more. If I'm alone up there, I get kinda lost.

How do you feel about monologues?

I love monologues there a chance to show how good you can be in the spotlight all alone so everyone is only paying attention to you. Well thats what they do to me it gives me a confidence boost. don't get me wrong I am not cocky or anything its just the opposite.

hmm.
i see your delema.
i have to do monolagues to for my drama class.
my tips are..
first dont get nervous. i can guarentee there will be someone who does worse than you because they just dont care.
second, imbody your charector.
feel what they feel..
throw everything that make you happy, sad, cry, laugh, scream into the proformance.
it will make it more beliveable.

They aren't that bad.

It's really nice if it's a play no one knows about and you can totally make stuff up if you forget the lines.

but SHAKESPEARE monologues are the greatest things EVER.

Wherefore Rejoice?  What conquest brings he home?  What tributaries follow him to Rome to grace the captive bonds of chariot wheels?  You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things!  Oh you hard hearts, you cruel men of Rome, knew you not Pompey?  Many a time and oft have you climbed up to walls and battlements, to towers and windows, yay, to chimney tops.....

That was definitely off the top of my head.  I could go on, but I took a tangent, so I stopped.  But YEAH.  Shakespeare.  Totally the shiz.
