| What part are you trying out for? Choose a monologue. And pick any song. Try "Sit down your rocking the boat". Epic song. I did that show last year. I was Arvide, Sara's grandfather. |

| Choose a monologue from the script, the same gender as you, someone that you feel you can portray well. Maybe try out for a lead, even if you don't intend to be the lead, because if you try out for a very very small part, you might not be chosen because the director might question how you think of yourself. |

| pick something dramatic or something long and heroic and don't just read it put feeling into it |
