I'd start just singing outside in your front yard. (like a garage or just on the lawn ) .. in a small local cafe maybe. Then during school lunches. Make you're way going up and up. I used to just sing kareoke during family parties. I made up a few songs.. started singing FOR parties. Made my way up just preforming in my local coffee cafe shop. Then I tried actually just sidewalk playing. Really though, most I've ever done is just during school shows.. |

| Get used to performing, yeah. My guitar teacher says that he used to drink lots before he performed so people wouldn't see his hands shake. I'm totally different though, I hate singing in front of people I know (just not confident enough, guitar and acting's fine). I think I'd prefer a noisy bar to a place where everyone's eyes are on me. |

| Perform, lots. Get gigs in local pubs and clubs, if you haven't got a band get one so that you're not using shitty backing tracks. I used to be terrified of performing, now that I've done it loads of times I'm fine. |

| I started singing along to my iPod in maths rather than doing the work. Whatever works for you. |
