how can i improve my pirouettes? i'm so useless, it's only demi-pointe but i can't seem to keep my balance, i wobble like anything! apart from just practising them, are there any other exercises i could do, so as to look a little less like a pig in a hurricane?
i know it's unlikely you will, but any advice you have would be great.

when you're in the air, squeeze your butt and suck your stomach in. Spot your head. Pull your shoulders back and keep your chin up. Slow down when it's time for the landing.

Strengthen your core. The key to a good pirouette is a solid core. If you're wobbling, then it's obvious that balance is an issue.

when you are on demi pointe spread your toes apart.  just go up on demi pointe and practice balancing like that.  try using your toes to balance.  if you seem to be borreing (sorry can't spell in french at all)  use a wall to stabilize yourself.  it will come eventually .
