i'm auditioning for 'the music man' on tuesday.

i don't know what song I should sing to audition (it can be any song. doesn't have to be from the musical). I think I want to sing either On My Own, or I Dreamed A Dream, from Les Miserables, but I'm open to other suggestions. I don't have a ridiculously high range, so nothing like 'somewhere over the rainbow', please.

try memory from cats. Impressive sound and strucure it'll show off your voice and range and ensure that the director knows you know your way around broadway musicals. I competed many times singing and won nationals many many times. I spent my summers and interlocken studying. They love to see you put yourself out there. try something phantom of the opera like just something you that you can put your heart into not something they're gunna hear from the other 100 ppl auditioning. If you need more help message me I won't steer you wrong this is something I know alot about.

The only flaw with this is the same flaw that "On my Own" has, although it's worse for "On my Own".  These songs are very, VERY over sung for auditions.  A lot of people audition with them, therefore, you don't stick out in the casters eyes.

You should sing On My Own, that's such a nice song.
