For the past two nights, I've only been able to sleep for 5 hours almost EXACTLY and then I wake up and can't fall back asleep.

It's not like I'm inactive, I've been going for runs and stuff lately to make me more tired, but it seriously is not working.

I don't know.  What helps you fall asleep better?  I tried taking some melatonin and it didn't do anything.  I don't really want to take anything super chemical, either, in the interest of preserving my health.

Half of this is I want advice, and half of this is just a rant.  I'm SO MAD.  I wanted to sleep so long last night and it's not fair.

That happens to me sometimes too. It just comes and goes in phases.

you could try practicing some things that may help you get to sleep faster/better, like a night time routine, walking at night, exercising more, eating healthier, not eating at night, reading in bed before sleeping, etc

I take prescription medications. I have insomnia though, so my situation is more severe than yours.

Ambien and Lunesta FTW.
