It really seems to many things are produced, clothing and other things.  Food in a way even, but it's more like it isn't going to who needs it so a lot is wasted.  I don't really buy that much anymore but if I go to a store it's crazy how so much stuff is there.  I don't think they get sold out of everything they have on the shelves/racks.  I think it's a waste to make all those things when people can reuse them, such as clothing.  So much is produced but clothing can last for years and if someone dies then it can be worn by others.

What do you think?

agreed.

still, this is the price of 'progress'. we've become increasingly materialistic and selfish.

It's not progress to be selfish and materialistic.

It's not some dead chick's clothing. It's a person who isn't alive (who died!) and their clothing is still good for someone to use. It's a waste to just throw them out and I think the person would want them to be used and not wasted.

but comparatively, many people would consider the past 10 years or so to be 'progress'. in terms of technology, yes, but moralistically and ethically, we are on a slippery slope.
