Apparantly its something to do with speeding up atoms (particle accellerator?), and people fear that it could open a black hole or something, and destroy Earth? It was on the news last night, and the applied maths teacher was talking about it to my friend. What's going on? and can I have a link to a site explaining it if possible? And what's this about it having enough power to open a black hole and destroy the planet? :/ I'm not worried, I just want to know what's going on. How could it cause a black hole anyway?

Apparently their were Scientist's who went to the Human Rights Union to stop them from switching this thing on "saying that this affects every one's right to live", but the union turned them down! I really can't wait for this :D for the record, it's at CERN, in Switzerland, not Sweden.
