| Depends how much further this recession goes. Washington Mutual could go either way at this point. They have rather large amounts of mortgages on their books with large amounts of debt coming due. I'd say if the recession goes into 2010, they're done. If it ends as predicted in the middle of 2009, they'll survive. The real question is if Lehman brothers can survive into 2009, or quite frankly till November. |
