well i have about 4 or 5 of those silver ones, and they have darknened over the past years from leaking mercury.
so they've already leaked mercury and now you decide to be concerned about this |

| Mercury hasn't been used in fillings for a long time. In the UK, at least. I'd've thought that the same would apply to the US, especially given your addiction to cosmetic dentistry - why would anyone want an "ugly" mercurial filing which isn't the same colour as their teeth (FFF white ofc)? |

people used to DRINK mercury in small doses. I don't think the tiny, tiny, tiny amount of mercury that may/or may not be in your fillings would really do much damage AT ALL. Besides, who the hell gets amalgam fillings anymore. We get those white composite fillings now. |

| A lot of people had fillings, none of them died from it. |

| This is pure just thinking but I am going to guess that mercury used in fillings is an older practice. Also fillings have gone down thanks to dental break throughs and flouride in some dirnkign water ect. So the 85% could easily be made up of older people with fillings. |
