| Yeah, I saw something about that a while ago. Pretty interesting, and they definitely didn't have mental retardation- it appears as though they were in some ways, highly evolved. To make a lighter note though, I know for sure that I have the appetite of a Hobbit. I swear I eat more than they do, lol. |

| uhh...duh...i live in Indonesia. This 'hobbit' you are reffering to is an ancient human species living in the Florence Islands. They are called homofloriensis. Not hobbits...but....they are quite short heh... |

Yeah, the past existence of 'Hobbits' has been confirmed for a while. What's bringing up more debate is how long ago they survived to. The skeletons are younger than all the ones found of found of Neanderthals (so far), but some people are trying to tie them in to rumors of the 'orang pendek' ( lit short man in Indonesian), a race of men of small existence which supposedly reside/resided on some of the bigger islands to the west. |

Not hobbits demmit! Homo Sapiens Florensius People in the science community have known about them for a long time.
They have been a theory, there has not been enough evidence to say they did exist.
So you're saying that finding over 3 groupings with similar culture in spread out areas doesn't mean they exist? That's just as crazy as calling them hobbits.
The term "hobbit" is just the slang term. Ill shut up and stop posting so many times. I'm probably getting annoying. |
