My computer has missing files and I need to reformat it, but when it was being repaired the tech guy messed up my settings or somthing and now my cd drives do not work. One i spilled hot chocolate on so it might not work, but the other was new. How do i connec my cd drives!?!? P{lease help fellow humans

Just pull out the old one and stick in the new one at the same spot?

Open your case, look for a port that looks like this on the motherboard:

If there's nothing plugged into it, find whatever cable is loose (should be obvious what kind of jack plugs into a port of that type).

Or check the cables on the back of the actual CD drive, it could just be a loose power connector.
