The eqnat is cool im feeling a stronger gravtaninol pull and you can balance eggs on tabel;s and stuff

listen, i AGREE with you that one may balance an egg on any normal -and random- day, however i simply find it weird that on that day, and only that day, my girlfriend was able to do something that she wasnt able to recreate depsite many attempts...

sorry, i left out an L, that dubbs it absolutely un-readable... ass.

my point wasnt that the molecules were joining in a chrystalline form, but that the substance was becoming dense'r because of the pull of gravity. during the equinox, the earth has an abnormal pull/push of gravity...

i am way too drunk right now to explain, if you wish, ask me to and ill try to respond tomorrow monring.

good night all..

psh, beats the hell out of me..
perhaps the augmented pull of gravity during the equinox settle the eggs insides in a more "chrystaline" way. so that the substance tries to settle at the bottom moreso than normal...

i do not know -though i wish i did- why it happens. but it does. i AM NOT lying, my GF has a picture on her phone of 3 of them [i dont have it, but ill try to get it] i kid you not, she tried the next day and COULD NOT do it...

i was skeptical as well, for the EXACT reasons you are... i still think it COULD be a stroke of unbelievable implausibility, but mainly i see it as a natural phenomena..

Your first paragraph doesn't even make sense.  What "augmented pull of gravity"?  And what do you mean by "chrystaline"?  If you mean crystalline that wouldn't make sense, even if there were some sort of weird gravitational phenomenon.

The fact is, it's pretty obvious that thinking you can't balance the egg on a "normal" day will make it seem more difficult to do, but I'm positive it's nothing more than that because I've seen more than enough experiments (that are more well-documented than your claim) that completely contradict what you're saying.

This is an urban legend.

 no its not.

while it may be true that eggs can be balanced like that on any day of the year, that is hardly evidence that the equinox doesnt play a role in making them do it easier.

my girlfriend, one of the most ditsy, and uncoordinated people i know, made an entire carton of eggs stand on end in one shot each.

please, tell me that she is just "that good"....

no, shes not, she tried the day after and missed every single one...

You're completely clueless.  You're either lying, very gullible, or very lucky.  Either way what you're claiming means nothing to me.  I challenge you to propose a single mechanism by which the equinox could have any effect whatsoever.  It doesn't have to be the "right" mechanism (because, of course, no such thing exists), just any reason that the equinox could plausibly have any effect on egg-balancing.

Is it possible within the boundaries of our strength as humans? I've seen some pretty big fucking dudes try.

I tried it once and didn't have much trouble breaking it.  My hands are thin and bony, though.

Yeah if you unevenly distribute the pressure it's done.

i heard that if you grip a egg the right way, n no matter how hard you squeeze it, it's not supposed to break...

 Thats true aswell.

No, no it's not. It'll break. It just takes a shitload of force.

I tried balancing an egg on my table last year and it didn't work.

I can do that. Some people believe it can only be done on certain days of the year, FALSE. It can be done any day of the year.
