The most plausible possibility I've heard is that of quantum fluctuation. A one in a billion, billion, billion chance that just happened to occur, being that instead of disappearing pretty much as soon as it created, it rapidly expanded towards omega, causing this wonderfully stable universe.

The Big Bang does not claim that something came out of "nothing".

anti matter.....the exact opposite of matter...not air, but its actually nothing but can be seen...it is known to exist but we cannot actually harness it.....the theory of god.....god is energy, therefore he is matter...when matter comes into contact with anti matter it creates a large explosion creates massive amounts of matter (life and planets)

I think the argument is along the lines of conservation of energy. There had to be something there before the big bang, or it couldn't have happened. Scientists know very little about this area though, it's mostly educated guesses, as far as I know.

well, nothing imploded (or exploded, depends on what you are taught) and then the fragments of nothing created something. yeah...i don't think that makes sense either. i think we were put here by aliens. lol

Obviously there was something. I haven't seen any respectable scientific anything saying that there was 'nothing' before the big bang.
