Our experience with it so far is slight nausea, and it sometimes makes her goofy... But that's kind of how she always is. I have seen an improvement in her personality and happiness since she started it, but I don't know exactly how she feels about it. I think mainly you just need to make sure that you have some food in your stomach before taking it, or very soon after.  Otherwise it could make you nauseas and possibly throw up.  And we all know that's not a lot of fun. Granted I was later diagnosed bipolar and SSRI's often don't work or actually make bipolar disorder worse. I went off about a few months through. It worked the fastest, and lasted the longest of all of my medications. I just went to a new medication about 3 months ago. But I loved Lexapro.
