But, with the advances in genetics, it could soon be possible to tell if someone is predetermined to be a criminal, just by analyzing DNA...or have any of a number of diseases/conditions...or if they'd be tall...or if they are male or female. I guess one could abort their children till they got one they'd like. But those advancements are so long away. Who knows will every kink and bug will be fixed... Right now everything is still in the Beta stages. That could take YEARS to perfect. I mean I don't think the would release this kind of technology without it being perfection. What if they screw up a kid? Plus a lot of people see this as a controversial topic and its gonna take a while for society to decide whether or not this kind of technology is okay or not. I honestly don't see it being that far off. I mean, scientists have already made some corelations for certain genes and being a criminal. It is only a matter of time that this is available to test prenatally. I think that legislation will be put into place before this technology is made public, and I have no doubt that if it were heavily funded 10 years ago, we'd already have this bio-technology. The US has already passed laws making it illegal to discriminate someone based on their genetics. Although this was intended for the work force, it just shows that the technology is there to evaluate people on every aspects, genetically. My take on abortion is that in almost any circumstances, it truly is morally wrong, but that is according to MY morals. I do not think that it should be the job of the government to impose anyone's 'morals' onto the population nor is it their job to regulate what someone does to their body. Well its kinda like stem cell research. I support it but yes there are people who fight against it. I feel like its gonna take a while because society is very ignorant a lot of the times and its kinda like "everyone cares what everybody else thinks"

Any thoughts on this?
It wouldn't make me love my baby less if it had a disability or not.
Anyway, science has improved more - develop embryos out of womb, and pick out the one without a problem to be concieved
