Hi, I have S.A.D and I live in london where its very grey and wet but occasionaly hot. When I try and tell my parents they think its a joke and just laugh at me but ive got it real bad. any ideas how I can get myself feeling better when the weather is bad?

First off, get your ass to a doctor. Second, expose yourself to lots of natural sunlight every day. Even on a cloudy day there is much more brightness outside than in a lit up room. Take a long walk or something.

And since you say you've got all the symptoms, i'm guessing you're depressed? I'm no expert on that, but I guess you could pick something you enjoy a lot and do it every day. Stay active. And again, go see a doctor.

There, that's all I can do for you. Adios.

Don't diagnose yourself. Go and see a doctor.

Is this something you discovered on your own or has an specialist evaluate this?

discovered it on my own, I have all the symptoms.

Sorry, but maybe you're freaking about something. It could be something you made yourself believe it's true..  Just because you have the symptoms doesn't mean you do have it, please go to an specialist.

I used to get that fairly badly but didn't have to go as far as light boxes. However, getting out during whatever daylight time you can, plus mild exercise  like simply walking briskly or light jogging is said to help. I found it helps a little bit.

The NHS will, if you get diagnosed
