Are there any products I can buy without going to a vet that can get rid of cat fleas?  And I need ones that would be safe, especially around her face since they hide more often up by her mouth, ears, nose, and eyes. Please, help would be MUCH appreciated. Oh yes, and cat flea collars don't work.

Replies RachLeigh13 Posted at 3:10 pm on July 22, 2008 Treat the house and treat the yard... no matter what flea preventitives you put on, they won't work properly until the environment is treated. We sale a pill called "Capstar" which kills all the fleas on the animal within the first 30 minutes.  After giving the cat a capstar you can then apply a flea product such as Frontline, Advantage or Revolution. You can get a flea spray for the house called Mycodex Environmental control. It works amazingly well and is safe for bedding and carpet. clavicle Posted at 12:44 pm on July 22, 2008 Mix lemon Dawn dishsoap (just a drop) with lemon juice (about 5 drops) and water in a spray bottle (a few cups of water). Spray all over kitty.
