We have to get rid of one of my dogs.
He was really wild and too rough to handle, but with a lot of hard work, I've calmed him down and now he's really good with me, and protects me against snakes, holds back his excitement when I get home, resists the urge to jump at my face etc...and things have been really great. He's just a beautiful dog.

But this morning, Mum took him for a walk. I walk the dogs everyday, but I take them down the forestry path - and he loves it. But Mum decided to be an idiot and take them the other way, towards the neighbours... and when they got to Pam's house [it's the first one beside us] - Shadow took off after her calves, and ran them really hard and one of them hit a fence and collapsed and Mum's not even sure if it got up.

Then when they were back again, he started doing it to our cows, and ran one of them into a fence so hard that it collapsed [it got up though] and ran another into a gate so hard that the gate broke and the cow got out. He was also apparently biting the cows ankles and faces pretty hard.

So now they're saying he has to go to another farm so he can see working dogs in action and learn how to behave.

I would really like to move out [I was going to soonish anyway] and take both my dogs....but I wouldn't be able to find anywhere with enough space.

Aw, I'm sorry. It's always hard to lose a pet. but it'll be okay. Don't worry.
