found this on benadryl- "In cats, diphenhydramine is dosed at 0.25 to 0.5 mg per pound (0.5 to 1 mg/kg) PO every 12 hours but it has a bitter taste. " PO means "by mouth". You really shouldnt give your cat benadryl without asking your vet about it first, BUT if your cat is not able to breath due to her throat or nares swelling, you could use it in a pinch. It also says that the benadryl can cause profuse drooling, so if you do give it, dont freak out over some drooling. again, you really should call your vet first.
im going to call a vet on monday.. she can breathe fine though shes curled up right now sleeping. last night she couldnt breathe too well from what my brother said she kept going limp in his arms but today shes been walking around and rubbing on me and ive been watching her a lot she seems fine. |

| She probably got bit by something. I'm not sure how much benadryl you can give to cats, but google it. Your best bet is to take her to the vet. They will most likely just give her an antihistamine shot and then give you some pills to give her. |

| It could be a number of things, really. But you should really consider taking it the vet, just to be sure. Yes, she may be eating and acting normal yet- but it wouldn't hurt. |
