I want highlights! I have gotten low lights before and even if they are perminate, they wash right out. Will I face this same issue if I do highlights? Does anyone know the trick on how to dye red hair and have it stay in??

Replies breakapart Posted at 11:30 am on Nov. 22, 2008 highlights would be done with bleach, rather than dye, though a dye or toner will probably be put on AFTER the bleach.  Since the bleach just strips your hair of the color, there is nothing to wash out.
