But I don't see your point in arguing about it. Unless you are trying to change what I consider myself.
yeah I hate when ppl do that. Its funny how so many racialists are into telling others what they are instead of letting ppl define themselves
I tell people exactly what I am. Black with a little white in me.
Neat. |

| Well, being from the state of Washington, I think that a majority from here (at least), would call you 'black'. |

| Well now that I think about it. I think my mom said that my great grandfather was half white which would make the gene even less. |

having a great great grandfather that was white and have that get diluted by more black genes down the line isn't enough for me to consider myself mixed. I still call myself black and yes I do have a little white in me but again, whose to say doesn't. But I don't see your point in arguing about it. Unless you are trying to change what I consider myself. I tell people exactly what I am. Black with a little white in me.
But you said you were 1/4 White. THAT would be enough to be mixed. But if your great-great-grandpa was White and the rest weren't - that's different. You'd be about 94% black - A LOT different than 75%.

So it describes subSaharan Africans - and anyone with Black skin. He would be for the most part black. Depending on how much more black he is than white. You can go about the way you view things with your "technical scientific" shit. Like I said if that's the case, many people who you may think are white aren't really white if it's that easy for you to say someone is mixed. Sure they are mixed with something other than white, but there is nothing wrong with saying that you are a certain race when you are for the most part that race. Now if it was a half and half thing then most people probably call yourself mixed. I am not going to argue with you about it though because that is just your outlook on it.
I'm not a one-dropper. I say if you're 90-95% one race you are that race. If not - you're mixed. It is genetically true - and race isn't just a social thing.

Well if that's the case then you could be wrong every time you say a black guy is a "Negro" because he very well can be mixed since he looks black but could have a little white in him
He wouldn't be "Black" either - would he? The thing about Negro is that it's a race and a skin color at the same time. So it describes subSaharan Africans - and anyone with Black skin.

Hm, you don't wanna say that Rune. You don't want all those black people who could easily pass for non-black assimilating into your culture, eh?
Being 1/4 or 1/8 Black is enough to appear nonWhite... Some people are just blind.

But 1/4 and 1/8 is significant enough to be non-Black.
