Since you can't prove race exists, then the premise is faulty because a necessity is not true, or has not been proven to be true. Nothing human is racial unless objectively proven otherwise, and thus, African-American is not a race and neither is anything else. To answer your question, if race did exist, then African-Americans would be a largely mixed race people. Technically, Negro is the term for the black race, that's why I NEVER use the term "African American" Technically, race may or may not exist, so the term negro may or may not be valid.
