Maybe people like the culture of other countries
booooo America is like 50 cultures
It's the melting pot of all those cultures, which becomes one culture in itself But people like to get away and check out other cultural things... different foods, languages, people, architecture |

Possibly because of high inflation, corrupt government pollicies, and a high standard that if you dont meet, you are a social outcast.
Not sure were your getting your info on inflation, since it is not a major issue and has not been for many years. Not to mention corruption is far less of a problem then in much of the world, especially in nations that reside in south america, africa, asia, and eastern europe. And one last thing, high standards are a condition of a capitalist society. Only the best, or sometimes incredibly lucky, will make it in such a world. You might say it's not fair, but it is the most efficient system in the world.
Some of the things im getting at are the high prices of gass, food, and every day products. Also, the current government policies and the presidential elections and their platforms. The last thing is that, even though everyone has the equal opportunity to make their life a success, they may not be able to. Just because they can not have a perfect life or havent made the best choices, they shouldnt be penalized. |

lOl america doesnt have a healthcare system. didnt you watch sicko? besides...america sucks, end of story. mostly cus you got guns.. GUNS DONT KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE!!
We couldn't afford a health care system. It would ravage the middle class and weaken the elites to give free health care to the poor because the cost would be staggering and the majority of its funding would come from said classes, and not from the groups that actually need it.
DONT HAVE THE MONEY??!! You have nuclear weapons, and all that money going to the rich people!!
What country doesn't have nuclear weapons today, they don't mean shit...and how does nukes = money to rich people |

| The school system is a biggy for me. The idea of putting my daughter in a school here is nauseating. I've yet to find a school here that I'd trust with her education. Every year they lower the standards just a bit more and cut vital programs. Next up is the economy. I know three people who still have a steady income that actually makes ends meet. Most of my friends got laid off at the same time I did, and few have been able to find anything else more than a part time at a grocery store, and even those crap jobs are like pulling teeth to land now since employers can take their pick of thousands upon thousands of applicants within a weeks of putting out that "Help Wanted" sign. I hear that matters are a bit worse in my area than some others, but from what I've seen, it isn't a whole hell of a lot better elsewhere in the US. My "uncle" said the way things are now reminded him a lot of how matters were at the end of the Great Depression (he was 90). The health care system is pretty pathetic as well. Then of course there's the rampant ignorance and bigotry. And a more personal reason would be that I really want a fresh start somewhere with no danger of running into old ghosts and nothing to remind me of things best forgotten. The real question isn't why leave. Why stay? |

| Meh. I always bitch about this country and how it's going down the drain and how I'm going to move to Europe someday and blah blah blah. But truth be told, I'd probably miss it terribly, flaws and all. |
