Our new managers are as follows.

Contest - semibittersweet
Reason: This extremely creative application not only was outside of the box, it blew the box apart with several tons of C4 explosives.  Proving this member's creativity, It made me laugh, cry, become aroused, but most importantly presented logical and professional ideas about the position (including great contest ideas).

Advertising - White Ninja
Reason: This application was well-written to beginning to end, showed enthusiasm about the position, an ability to be upstanding and professional, and a mind for business.

Congratulations.  Semi and Ninja, you will be hearing from me in a few about what is expected of you.

Everyone else who applied--  Almost all of the applications I received were good.  And the one's that weren't good were all n00bs.  That being said, I can't stress enough how only one person is able to fill each position and not being chosen in no way signifies inferiority.  Many members have already contributed to contests and advertising on LiveWire, but at the end these members best represented our needs.  Thank you soooo much to everyone who applied.

To the rest of LiveWire - make sure you let the new managers know if you have any ideas for them!

Eric

I wish you still had a copy of this so I can use it as a standard for the rest of my life.

Congrats to the winners!

Advertising Manager just keeps track of the advertisements that people want to advertise... I am assuming.

That was something which semi added by herself.

Eric never said anyone had to add them but she did by her own initiative. Which is what a contest manager needs, to think, outside of the box.

I can stand up and say i apologize for any comments that seemed a bit unusual or out of context on my part, i understand that everyone was given an equal chance and that i was not unfairly treated, i never said that to start with, what i meant was the "winning" application had examples in it and i saw nowhere in the description about using any examples, obviously i mislead myself under i my own false judgement about what the requirements were, had i known at the time that examples were needed i would have taken it upon myself to find such examples, anyway let's say no more about it.

Congrats semi- I shall be sending you a pm soon about a SPECTACULAR contest idea that I have.

Good job wn- To all you haters:

ISH- her application was obviously outstanding.  Just leave it at that and congratulate her.

I'm not saying it wasn't great, I'm sure it was and congrats to her and Johnny boy, I'm sure they'll do great.

This was not a fair process.

How can you claim the process was unfair, ISH?

I could understand how you would make such a claim if Eric privately contacted Semi and said, "Submit examples of your work, it'll definitely do you some good!" - but he didn't.  That would've made an unfair process.  Every single person went in and submitted their application based on the same amount information.

Simply because her application had better features, doesn't mean the process was unfair - and you making such a claim shows Eric made the right decision.  Every position requires maturity, and if anything, you've demonstrated a lack of that in this very thread.

Surely you and everyone else can understand my point, i have never made an application for many things before, and i have NEVER made one in which i need examples from anything, he stated requirements as "shows interest in artwork etc" that does not sound to me like "include visual examples", it should have been obvious.

And btw people that are flaming me, you can't do that, i have an opinion and it is valid, so you can't out scream me.

That post shows exactly why you were not selected.

I mean, really. How many times do we have to fucking explain it to you? First of all, you're just bitter (el oh el) about not getting the position. Secondly, if we have to tell you that you needed examples, then that proves you're not ready to have the position because you didn't inherently know that.

Give it up already, you're making yourself look more idiotic with every post.

semibittersweet sold herself better. She was the better applicant.
I sold myself like a two dollar hooker!

Hahha, work it.
