Also when the ell did it become trendy for every 14 year old in America who has a little social difficulties to claim they have aspergers and then wear the title like a badge of honor claiming to be super intelligent and use it as an excuse to be royal dill weeds while expecting everyone to pity them while kissing their asses?

Sure, in it's lighter stages, it's nothing more than more poor judgement. 'Aspies' typically just learn to cope. But I've seen it when it's very real. My mummy used to work at a college for hardcore aspies. They didn't understand people at all, often ending up being kicked out of school or bullied beyond belief. Because of it's subtleness even some 'normal' aspies are subject to ridicule and not diagnosed, leading to self harm, or suicide, because other people say it's cool, and they're easily lead. So no.
