If you ask anything anymore in the Teen Health forum all you get are 75% answers saying "Go ask a doctor".

Usually it's the pretentious trolls and assholes who have 10 days activity and think they are doing their part in ridding the forum of angsty whiney teens by spamming because they can't think of a single word to say that could possibly be recognized as a contribution.

To be fair, sometimes people ask questions where your knee-jerk response is, "How many different kinds of stupid are you? If you are bleeding from the eyes, don't stop to ask the internet about whether or not you should take a Tylenol. Go see a doctor, nitwit."

It can hardly be helped.

I have to agree with this, it's priceless. Sure going to the Doctor may not be cheap but if you have Insurance your co pay is usually small, and of course the ER bills you later with no up front fee, at least here.

Often people ask here because going to the doctor sure isn't a $0.99 hotdog, whereas asking here is free (but you have to put up with the ridiculous answers at times)

It's because we're not doctor's and we don't have the knowledge.. we can only give advice about something if we've experienced it ourselves.. or know someone else who has.

well i say that sometimes simply because no one that i know here has medical training (nor do i) and if you have a serious problem its better to consult someone who does. maybe put it in your post that you cant see one if you don't want people to respond like that?

Somewhat agree, other times some replys are helpful. and polls keep alot of kids from freaking out over normal bodily functions

I try to give good advice, but most things are stuff that no-one on LiveWire is really able to say with any amount of certainty.

I've never used anything other than LW.
I think the people on here are really nice :)

Agreed, although it is better to have the forum then not having it.
