Okay, at work today, there's this guy. We'll call him Mike. Mike is not a very good worker. He doesn't work fast, doesn't have basic knowledge, doesn't know recipes. But Mike thinks he does. This causes problems when he starts improvising and ruining food. Then, because of that, I get in shit because my team's food isn't coming up quickly or to quality. Makes things rather tedious, though I do get to yell at people, and that's fun.

Well, apparently Mike also doesn't know basic basic kitchen safety or sanitation. Like you don't touch cooked food after touching raw food, you use seperate bowls for seperate items to avoid flavour contamination, and you don't throw fucking knives in a kitchen.

That's right. One of my co-workers was cutting up sushi, and the knife was a little dull. Well, in a professional kitchen, a dull knife is still really sharp compared to a home kitchen. So he sets the knife down to sharpen it later. Well Mike decided it'd be a good idea to pick up the knife and fucking throw it 15 feet accross the kitchen to the sink. Which he missed. What the fuck is that? Not only could it stab or seriously cut a person, very possibly killing them, but it can chip or splinter, sending shrapnel out, and in an open kitchen, what does it look like to customers?

Fucking seriously. I couldn't believe it, and was utterly speechless. Then I ripped him a new one, and due to the severity, had to go to my boss to have him written up for a serious safety infraction.

Oh lovely... one of those.

I know. Thing is, I almost feel sorry for him, because I don't think it's intentional, and he's just an airhead. Then I realize he's fucking stupid and needs to go, so I care less.

Even a child would know better than that.
Either he is a bit special ed, or utterly pathetic.

Dammt, wanted to say something encouraging harm, to prevent him throwing knives anymore. : (

Oh, everyday at work I say things that I'd get banned here for even alluding to.

Uhh, see if he can be fired. That is seriously dangerous and if he constantly does that, it's also illegal (reckless endangerment etc)
