I hate it when someone tells you "WE HAVE TO HANG OUT SOON!" and doesn't follow through.  I did my part.  I called and asked when they wanted to get together and they said they would call me back.  Did I get a call back?  No.  Don't say you want to hang out with someone and not follow through.  That is one of the most annoying things in the world.

As soon as someone says that I expect never to see them again.

I say that, but I actually follow through.

Yeah that's pretty annoying. I have people who will repeat it multiple times and I finally say ok and THEN they don't follow through.

They say it because it seems appropriate to do so. Like a formality

Most people don't really mean it.
